👋 Hey there, i’m Melissa Charles
A UX/UI Product Designer based in Florida, currently designing at Full Sail University, seamlessly creating and designing products for our students and faculty. Growing up I always wanted to help people, and being a UX Designer allows me to do just that. I love being creative and always trying to find new and innovative ways to solve a users problems. I also love being able to be a voice for people that do not always get to be heard or tend to be overlooked.
How I work
Full Sail Univeristy
My preferred work methodology would have to be the double diamond design framework, because it provides the ability to continuously iterate during the journey while solving problems. I feel equally comfortable drafting a research plan and interviewing subjects, as I do creating prototypes and building pixel-perfect design systems.

Melissa, A big congratulations to you for launching the One Roundtable Space on Full Sail One! I'm proud of you for creating an innovative way for members of the Full Sail community to contribute to the development of the digital campus spaces at the university. Your work is a big reminder to me on how I can strive for clarity, empowerment, responsiveness, transparency, and stewardship in my own work.

Jeff Ward
Director of Product Experience
Melissa has been with the team for two years; starting as a contractor for a year before moving into her current permanent role. During that time she's grown and improved in numerous areas while simultaneously exploring new challenges. Some of these include: proactiveness across all that she does, acceptance and implementation of feedback, providing solutions and suggestions in design, product, and suite meetings, file and library housekeeping, and stretching her prototyping and interaction skills.Melissa has also leaned into her professional development through the Women's Leadership Initiative while also making a concerted effort to improve her presentation, storytelling, and meeting communication skills. We greatly appreciate Melissa's enthusiasm for her role, design, products, the broader teams, and Full Sail. We look forward to supporting her and seeing her continued contributions and development in the coming year.
