My Time at Full Sail University

Currently working as a User Experience Designer. I co-steward a space dedicated to our native application, where we let users know what we’re working on and do user testing. Also a proud member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative – Cohort 2025I primarily work on our native application and our learning management system. I’ve included a little walk of our desktop application.

Full Sail Univeristy

This is the project that got me hired at Full Sail. Take a look at my design thinking below.

Background

Overview

I was tasked with creating an app that would allow for faculty at Full Sail University to check-in students, view RSVPS, and manage events.

Timeline

Since I only had two full days for this project, I had to be very strategic in my planning. Below is a break down of my days on the project.

Day 1

  • Competitive Audit
  • Interactive Wireframe
  • Started Hi-Fi Prototype

Day 2

  • Completed Hi-Fi Prototype
  • Content/Error Check
  • Presentation

Project Brief

Problem Statement

How might we create an experience that allows users to effectively engage with students in order to streamline the check-in process for events, and simplify viewing event analytics.

User Problems

Being able to see how many students are attending an event easily .

View RSVP and Check-In status for students easily.

Allow students to check in with or without a QR code.

One Tap

  • View real-time data on who's checked in, absent, and percentages.
  • Uses QR codes for check ins.
  • Allows for all admins to collaborate during the check in process.
  • Easy to navigate

Guest List

  • Focuses more on selling tickets then easy check in for guests.
  • Allows users to not only edit events but also create them
  • Basic UI Used
  • Very expensive for users

Brock University

  • Allows for super fast RSVP
  • Utilizes QR Codes for check-ins
  • Poor/Outdated Interface
  • Only allows for check-ins and does not show capacities.
